– Alienated from God’s People
– Strangers to the Covenants of Promise
– No hope

– In Christ (v13)
– Fellow Citizens and Members of God’s household (v19)
– Built on God’s Promises (v20)
– Jesus as Cornerstone (sure hope) v(20)
– Dwelling Place for God (v22)

X = Christ
– He is our peace (v14)
– He made peace (v15)
– He reconciled us to God (v16)
– He killed hostility (v16)
– He is the cornerstone (v20)

Peace:
– Peace is NOT necessarily the absence of trouble (John 16:33Romans 16:20)
– Peace is an aspect of the fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22-23)
– Peace is something we can participate in (Matt. 5:9James 3:18)
– Peace must include reconciliation (Col. 1:202 Cor. 5:17-21)
– Peace affects and happens in the heart (Col 3:15)
– Peace is transcendent (Phil. 4:6-7)
– Jesus is our Peace (John 20:19-21)
