need: verb. require (something) because it is essential or very important
noun. circumstances in which something is necessary, or that require some course of action.

"need" is a word we (I) throw around a lot these days (always)...

I "need" a new pair of pants.

I "need" a vacation.

I "need" to eat soon.

I "need" to get going, or I'll be late.

I "need" someone to talk to.

I "need" a cup of coffee (that's legit).

I "need" a more reliable car.

I "need" some more money.

I "need" a job.
