A prayer for our World Changers

Lord you are holy. You are absolutely perfect, spotless, and pure. You are majestic. You're royalty and beauty leave us breathless. Thank you God for being righteous. You always do right so that your holiness is displayed. God may your holiness be on full display in Salt Lake City today!

Recently those of us doing the read-through read about Naaman in 2 Kings 5. He, though a foreigner and outsider, and even an enemy of your people, was healed of his leprosy by you. He didn't think it was possible. He wasn't going to follow the instructions given to him by the prophet. But then his servant said, "My father, it is a great word the prophet has spoken to you; will you not do it? Has he actually said to you, 'Wash, and be clean'?" You had promised Naaman a great miracle! He obeyed and you kept your promise, despite the fact that he initially dismissed your promise as impossible. You are so faithful! I praise you for your faithfulness.

After Naaman was healed he said to Elisha the prophet, "Behold, I know that there is no God in all the earth but in Israel". God, you make yourself known in ways only you can. You did something in such a way that caused Naaman to know that you are the only God!

I ask you to do that today, Father. Do it today - July 7, 2009 - in Salt Lake City, Utah. Do something that can only be explained as "God". And do it in such a way as it can only be explained as "God". And do it so that it's not "God" generically, but specifically that you, Yahweh, that you, Jesus are known and praised. I pray that the Mormons would see what you have done and realize that You are the only God. I pray that you would open their eyes to You and that they would turn from the non-existent gods they have been worshiping. Use your people in Salt Lake City, use your World Changers as you see fit. You have promised that we are your ambassadors, that we are your witnesses, and that we get to be part of expanding Your kingdom. Do it today, Lord. Do it for you. Display the fullness of your holiness, majesty, and righteousness.

Do it for Your Name's Sake. Amen.
