1 Peter 1:3-5
1 Corinthians 15
1 Peter 2:9-10
What is hope according to the bible? The hope of eternal salvation is through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The blood of Jesus and only the blood of Jesus has the power to forgive sin. If the resurrection did not happen then there is no validation of the forgiveness of our sins. And if there is no resurrection then death is not beaten. But because he rose again, Jesus has proven once and for all that death can not hold him and his blood has the power to forgive our sins. Our hope is made possible by the resurrection.
Inheritance has nothing to do with what we have done. Our inheritance, which is our salvation through through Jesus, is unfading, corruptible, and eternal.
This hope is unmerited/undeserved. Hope is unmerited favor from God for the inherited salvation from Him.
