Scripture for today’s sermon:
Hebrews 13:5
Philippians 4:11-13
1 Timothy 6:6-10

This series is not prompted by financial need – if you look in your bulletin you’ll see we are $117 under budget for this year. In addition, we have money in the bank, and we are debt-free. We are not going to spend the next 3-4 weeks talking about money to convince you to give to QBC, but so that we can make the most of our money for God’s glory.

Philippians 4:11-13
Paul says God’s strength is enough for him to be content in any circumstance. Not that God’s strength is enough to get Paul out of bad circumstances so that he can be content, but enough for Paul to be content no matter what.

1 Timothy 6:6-10

When we crave other things like materials and wealth, we stop craving God. God has prepared a huge banquet for us, but we’re satisfied with the few snacks that we’ve found on our own.
