We need to press on in obeying God’s word because we have been eyewitnesses of God’s power, majesty, and faithfulness.
It is critical that we pass on the amazing story of God’s saving power. They may not listen or believe, but if they are not told it is highly likely that they will not be faithful at all.
We must not forget what God has done in the past. Faith springs up from remembering how faithful God has been. We often need to be reminded about what God says He will do.
Obedience is the path to blessing. Any engagement with idolatrous theology will open the door to dangerous accommodation. Separation is still an important form of obedience for God’s people who are under the new covenant.
While remembering God’s faithfulness, we must also remember that He is a righteous judge. While we do not like negative consequences, it is important to lead us to greater faithfulness.
